Direct Mail Processing LLC Postcard – Scam Or Legit?
IMPORTANT! Please read below:
We are the Direct Mail Processing LLC company. And we are NOT mailing you anything.
Please do NOT call us to ask us to stop mailing you.
Instead, carefully read the steps below to learn more about what the Direct Mail Processing LLC is all about and how to stop future mailings.
Most likely you’re here because you’ve received a postcard from a company called “Direct Mail Processing LLC.”
Perhaps you’re wondering what this is all about? Is this legitimate or a scam?
If so, you’ve found the right article!
Below, I describe everything about Direct Mail Processing LLC in detail.
Let’s begin.
What is the Direct Mail Processing LLC scam?
In a nutshell, they send postcards to senior citizens informing them about a government program that can pay for their final expenses.
Allegedly, qualifying seniors can get up to $35,000 tax-free through this program.
Although the postcards resemble government documents, they include fine-print disclaimers indicating that Direct Mail Processing is not affiliated with any government agency.
In fact, there is no federal or state-run program that can provide these benefits for final expenses.
According to the mailers, the offer is state specific. However, these ads are not endorsed or affiliated with state governments in any way.
The fact that the postcards indicate a state name, makes them appear official and increases the chances that people will send the cards back.
The recipients are asked to mail back postage-paid cards to Direct Mail Processing in Marietta, Georgia, within five days in order to get access to a state-regulated life insurance program.
They need to fill in their personal information including their name, their spouse’s name, dates of birth, email address, county name, phone number, and sign the card.
The mailer includes a link to a website where it is possible to opt out of any future mailings.
What happens when you send the card back to Direct Mail Processing?
Direct Mail Processing LLC is a company contracted to distribute mail and generate leads on the behalf of licensed agents in your state.
This is one of many ways in which insurance agents market to seniors to help them with their final expense needs.
If you send a card back, you can expect an agent to show up at your door or call you to book an appointment in order to sell you final expenses life insurance.
You will often end up having multiple agents contacting you about various insurance products for months on end.
It’s worth noting that, in spite of a misleading way of advertising and collecting information, these are licensed agents who actually do sell life insurance and are not necessarily trying to scam senior citizens.
What should you do if you want life insurance but no salesperson?

If you want to buy funeral expense life insurance to make sure your family is not burdened by your burial costs, you can look for a reputable independent agency licensed in your state.
You should choose an agency that represents several different insurance companies so that they can help you find the best deal.

lol, not a scam….they send an official looking document out having you think they are sending this from the gov't to seniors……they freakin mention Medicare part B…..when you fill out the form(which by the way, they design it to deceive seniors) you will be contacted by someone trying to sell you life insurance(final expense.) now in what world is that legitimate?? contacted about medicare part b…..but get someone selling final expense insurance???

Understand =) – best thing is to *not* send those cards back. They are all solicitations that an insurance agent will follow up on.

I would appreciate you NEVER EVER me again! I am living on disability every month and I dare you try to get innocent people who are living month to month to participate in this scam. I am and will go to the police station and report this to the appropriate people. It’s ridiculous that their are people out there who would do this to senior citizens! You should be ashamed of yourselves. May God have pity on your souls!!!!

It's not us that's doing it – read the article to find out who is actually doing it. Don't kill the messenger =).

Can you possibly answer this question for me? If this is for senior citizens, why on earth did I receive this? I mean, if things have changed, and 31 years of age is now considered a senior citizen believe me I AM NOT COMPLAINING! Who doesn't love a discount?! In all seriousness, how does one get put on these lists??
David Duford
Hi Brittany! If the card is about burial or final expense insurance, it should have gone to a real senior, not you =). You can opt out following this link: https://www.dmpoptout.com/

Got one of these in the mail today. Knew it had to be what you described but being a curious fellow I thought I'd check it out anyway. You're actually providing a public service. Thanks.

Welcome! My mother-in-law got one the other day, too. I told her to toss it out =).

I know this article is older….just got my card today and they’ve changed PO Boxes but is still located in Kennesaw, GA. They should be ashamed of themselves, preying on the elderly.

Thanks for your email =)
