Program Processing Scam – Real Or Senior Scam?

Most likely you’re here because you’ve received a postcard or form from the Program Processing Center in Washington, DC or Lawrenceville, GA.

Perhaps you’re wondering what this is all about? Is this legitimate or a scam?

If so, you’ve found the right article!

Below, I describe everything about the Direct Processing Center in detail.

Let’s begin.

What is the Program Processing Center All About?

Program Processing Center distributes mailers to senior citizens aged 50-80 years.

These cards inform recipients about a special senior final expense program available in their state.

The program will allegedly pay 100% of all funeral expenses, which is up to $50,000 tax free, to all eligible citizens regardless of their medical conditions.

Although official-looking, the mailers don’t include any further information or company name. The fine print on the card indicates that they are not affiliated with any government agency.

The recipients are asked to fill in their personal details, including their name, age, phone number, and address, as well as their spouse’s information, and sign the mailer.

The paid-postage card should be returned to the Program Processing Center, 2020 Pennsylvania Ave NW Ste 973, Washington, DC 20077-2446.

What Happens When You Send The Card Back?

When you fill out and send back the mailer, Program Processing Center sells your information to different life insurance companies that have hired them to generate leads.

Once they have obtained your details, insurance agents will contact you by phone or send you more information about their products in the post.

Although Program Processing Center doesn’t seem to be connected to identity theft, you should always be careful about volunteering personal information.

The Better Business Bureau recommends not to respond to promotional mailers and never provide personal information to anyone unless you know specifically who is requesting it.

What should you do if you want life insurance but no salesperson?

If you don’t wish to go through a captive agent selling insurance for a particular company or an independent agent selling for multiple companies, you can choose to buy a life insurance policy directly.

For example, if you are interested in life insurance but don’t want an endless supply of salespeople calling and dropping by, we can help!
