Today I Want To Offer Some Reassurance To Those Who Suffer From Heart Problems
You probably think there’s no way you can get affordable, first-day coverage. I want to show you that is not necessarily true. First I’ll define cardiac or circulatory issues and then lay out different options depending on your health history.
First of all, cardiac and circulatory issues are pretty wide-ranging. You have your more obvious issues like heart attacks, stents, and bypasses, but you also have issues like seizures, aneurysms, pacemakers, congestive heart failure, and even things like angina –all of those are related to the circulatory system in your heart. If you have one of those issues, this post is for you. What you have and when you were diagnosed or treated makes a dramatic difference on what you can qualify for. Many people cannot qualify for life insurance unless they work with someone –like myself– who is a broker that looks at all different companies out there to get you the best price. Now, let’s get to the specifics.
NOTE: Discover your options for life insurance if you have a history of heart problems in my video below.
Here’s An Overview Of Today’s Topics:
Typically, if you’ve had a heart attack within the last year, you’ll only qualify for a guaranteed-issue product that makes you wait two full years before
covering you. If you had a heart attack 1-2 years ago, you will most likely qualify for a great partial-coverage program. In some cases, you’ll qualify for first-day 100% coverage.
Again, not a lot of people offer this plan, but I have access to that kind of company. So if that fits you, I may be able to help you in ways that other agents can’t. If it’s been at least two years since your diagnosis and/or treatment, most companies will give you 100% first-day coverage for both natural and accidental death.
For strokes, it’s a little different situation. You have full-blown strokes, mini strokes, and transient ischemic attacks. For full-blown strokes, it’s the same guidelines as a heart attack. When you’re less than one year out, the best you can likely get is a two-year wait period on a guaranteed issue plan. At one or two years out, you can get partial coverage or full first-day coverage.
After two years most companies give full first-day 100% coverage. If you experienced a mini stroke or transient ischemic attack, a lot of companies consider those less of an issue. There are even companies that will give you 100% first-day full coverage even if you’ve just had a mini stroke or a transient ischemic attack yesterday. Again, those are hard to find, but if that fits you, talk to me because I can help you out in ways that many other agents cannot.
A lot of companies make you wait two years. However, there are companies that will cover you 100% from the very first day for natural death even if your seizing as you’re talking to them.
Pacemakers and Congestive Heart Failure
Most companies make you wait two years for coverage, but I know a company that will cover you as long as your pacemaker was installed over a year ago. Congestive heart failure is another condition for which most companies will only offer you a two-year guaranteed issue product. However, I can sometimes get you 100% approved from the first day. Very nice.
There’s also a couple other factors that you have to be aware of. Sometimes your circulatory medicine can make an impact on whether you can get qualified or not. For example, you may be taking Plavix or a blood thinner like Coumadin or Carvedilol or Furosemide.
Lots of carriers out there will rate you at a higher price or won’t even cover you if you take those medications. I, on the other hand, work with those particular medications daily. It is not a problem getting coverage if you have or taken those medications.
If you have any of these conditions and believe there is no way you can get coverage, I would like to talk to you. There are several ways you can reach out to me. You can comment below, go to the Contact page of my site and shoot me an email, call me at the number at the top of every page, or fill out the quote form.
However you choose to contact me, I’ll be happy to give you a free, no-obligation quote for final expense life insurance. If you like what I offer, great! If not, that’s okay too. I just want to help you get the best coverage possible.
